The towels were clean and the bathroom was nice, but the rest of my stay was awful. Everything was closed when I arrived, so I had to call to ask how to get in. The man on the phone just said “one moment” and hung up. I was waiting for a door code, but my room key was in an envelope on the table. I was alone in an empty place, on the third floor with a large suitcase, for one night. A joke. I found a nail on the floor, and lots of long, dark hair on the desk, floor, and chairs, like the floor hadn’t been cleaned in ages. Luckily I had tissues and could clean it myself. The bedsheets were torn in several places. There’s no breakfast right now. I came for coffee and the restaurant was dark. The man there showed me a plastic bag with a ready-made sandwich, a canned soft drink, a banana, and an apple, which was the breakfast included in my reservation. Starting at 6:30 am, someone also tried to open my door three times! It’s winter in a small town. If you don’t have customers every day and I’m the only one in the building, maybe don’t open the place at all.

The food was fabulous, especially the rack of ribs, the best I’ve ever tasted. The staff were amazing and treated me like family. Superb hotel, facilities, and location. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone.

The rooms are well designed, the breakfast is good, and it’s just a short walk from the old town centre. Great location.

From the rooms at the back, you can look over the wall from the historic castle, which travelers should visit. The historic town square is right outside this quaint little hotel, and a bustling Czech city, with shops and restaurants, is just a few minutes away. The rooms are on the small side by typical American standards, but they have what you need for a great night's sleep. My bed was comfortable, and the bathroom had recently been updated. Breakfast was included for us and had plenty of traditional Czech flair.

For my next stay in Pardubice, I’ll definitely come back here. The rooms are clean and new, the beds comfortable, and breakfast is great. The hotel restaurant has a really good range of food, especially if you like meat. Karel’s pork ribs are the best. The local staff are really friendly, too. P.S. Don’t forget to say HI to Charlie (you will get it), and order smoked almonds with your beer :)
