Spa Hotel Felicitas

The staff were great, and we had a wonderful time. We really enjoyed our stay.

For the price, I expected better value, especially compared with similar hotels. Spa hotel felicitas has only two saunas and one steam sauna, with no whirlpool or swimming pool at the bottom. Other hotels offer much better wellness facilities without even using SPA in the hotel name.

The only real advantage is having the pool and SPA in one place. The pool is included in the room price, but it had too much chlorine. The SPA was nice, with really helpful staff, especially the masseuse, though I found it a bit too expensive. The hotel restaurant was just meh. One receptionist was lovely, the other a bit unwilling. Our room was clean, but boring and cold, with some mold in the shower and a really short bed. It was okay, but nothing more, and definitely not what I expected. I don't think I'll come back or recommend it to friends.

We went as a couple on a Monday afternoon, and the pool was spacious enough and not crowded. I also tried the Flower Spa Ritual at the very nice wellness center, and it was worth it. The hotel is modern, very clean, and has great wellness facilities, just a few minutes' walk from the train station. Our double room was tidy when we arrived, with a fridge, safety deposit box, wardrobe cabinets, and closets. Towels, bathrobes, and toiletries were provided. Still, for a 4-star hotel, it was disappointing not to have free still water, coffee, or tea in the room. There was free mineral water in the lobby, but it’s an acquired taste. The shower door didn't work properly, so water leaked onto the shower floor, and the room could get quite warm on summer afternoons and evenings. Breakfast had some variety, but left us wanting more for a 4-star hotel. The staff were really nice, though they didn't seem too attentive to the flies coming in through the open veranda door. We had steak dishes in the restaurant on Sunday night. They were delicious, especially the one with salad and strawberry sauce, even though they weren't cooked quite the way we wanted, medium rare.
