Valasský Hotel Ogar

The meal was a mixed bag. The soup was fine, but the duck tasted stale and was very dry. The dumplings were dry too, and the skin never got crispy. Service was okay, though nothing special, and nobody was rude. I wouldn't ask for a refund, but I also wouldn't return. Three stars feels right.

The terrace has a sweet little play cottage for kids, and inside it’s all cozy wood, almost fairy-tale-like. They serve several familiar Czech beers on tap. The food is straightforward and nicely prepared, with fair, average prices, and both the cuisine and feel are rooted in the local area.

The hotel and restaurant feel very welcoming and family-like, and they put on different music nights. The new menu is delicious, and the beer wellness was a real treat. Unlimited beer, too! Such a pleasure.

The quiet setting and atmosphere were the best parts for me, and the staff were really kind. The food was quite good as well. For what it costs, I thought the hotel was good value.
