Baroque Hall

I had a really sad experience. After a six-hour trip, I arrived to check in, but a man stopped me and wouldn't let me inside. I asked three times to check in, and he closed the doors in front of me without trying to help, even though I was a visitor who could have ended up on the streets of Prague at night. I didn't press the issue. I found a bar and searched for another hotel nearby for the night. The next day I messaged the hotel to ask what had happened with my booking, explaining that I'd been turned away and had to find somewhere else. I hoped for a positive answer, but they never replied. I booked another place for the rest of my stay to avoid further trouble. Close to my departure from Prague, my bank card started getting declined everywhere. After looking into it, I found that the hotel had charged itself for my stay, which seemed normal to me, but had taken an amount out of nowhere a day after my check-in was due. I want people to know about these untrustworthy people who could ruin a budget holiday. Avoid this address if you want to enjoy Prague. Gael

Watch out, scammers! The staff were rude, there were bugs in the rooms, and dogs were kept in the kitchen. Don't give the staff your bank card details under any circumstances. They charged us twice, and we have to deal with the banks and courts to try to get back the money we say was stolen from us.

We even had trouble getting back into the hostel one night. We spent half an hour staring through a closed door at two dogs occupying the dining table, which definitely wasn't what we'd planned. The stay had already gone badly when we didn't get the apartment we booked. The staff member was rude, didn't take our complaints seriously, and offered us two separate rooms on different floors before simply walking away. If you can, pick somewhere else ;)

The food was awful: it came cold from the fridge, and even the juice tasted like it had been mixed with loads of water. Two dogs barked loudly by the reception and breakfast area, which made the place unpleasant to stay in. The room had a shower behind transparent sliding doors with no curtain, and the WC was shared between rooms. It was hard to find the place, and there wasn't even a sign with its name. The entrance looked groovy, but the receptionist seemed careless about guests and smoked right in front of us at the desk. We got no help or Prague tips, and weren't even given a city map. Their welcome note said, 'hot beer, lousy food, bad service.......... welcome have a nice day'. That says plenty about how little they care about customers. A very bad experience.
