A great bonus was being able to see the Astronomical Clock from our room. The breakfast buffet was plentiful, so you definitely won’t go hungry. We especially liked the Black Angel Bar in the basement, where we went every night for cocktails and to watch them being made. We’d been recommended this hotel and weren’t disappointed, though the rooftop restaurant was another story. The staff tried to bring the next course while we were still eating the first, and smoking was allowed because they considered the restaurant to be outdoors. That put us off dining there again.

The city center location was hard to beat, though the street noise carried at night. My earplugs blocked it out. The staff were outstanding, and our room was great. We also really enjoyed the hotel and restaurant, with some of the best food and drinks we had on the trip.

We only came in for one drink, but the service made us feel like we were in the way. First the waiter told us to sit at a table, then stopped us when we went over to one. When we ordered fries, another waiter asked a waitress to bring them; after they arrived, the waiter told us to ask someone else about the price, even though he wasn’t busy. When we went to pay, we found out a tip was being added whether we paid by card or cash. We had no choice, and it made the bill more expensive. Be careful and avoid this place.

It gets very busy, and the service is only okay, but the view is fantastic. You get an incredible look at the Astronomical Clock and the Church of Our Lady before Týn, and the clock-face dessert makes for a great photo. Definitely worth visiting for the scenery and that Instagram moment.
