Bohem Prague Hotel

We didn’t see any staff during our stay, so I can’t say how the service was. Check-in was a bit awkward because reception isn’t staffed. Check your email for the key box code, and note that you reach the hotel by lift to the second floor if stairs matter to you. The tram line right across the road made getting to the sights really convenient. The room was okay, though the bed felt flimsy and the pillows were very uncomfortable, almost disposable. I didn’t like the grey towels or green bedding, since I prefer white linens that show they’ve been freshly cleaned. The curtains and blinds let in a lot of early morning light. A kettle, personal cups, and a small fridge would have made the stay better.

The soundproofing was poor. You could hear other guests unlocking their doors, and rolling luggage was extremely loud on the tiled hallways. They also charge €2 to use the luggage lockers, which I’ve never encountered at another hotel. The room was around €100 a night, and there was mould growing on the bathroom door. You get what you pay for, I guess.

After I finally got the check-in link, I was asked to pay the city tax separately. Why couldn’t that be collected when I booked and paid for the room? The self check-in didn’t work for me. I never received the email with instructions, and other people I met outside the hotel had the same problem. I had to call twice before they sent the right link. It seems to happen regularly when booking through a third-party agency rather than directly. I used agoda.

We only stayed one night, but loved it all: the room, breakfast, and how close it is to the center. It was amazing, and we hope to come back, maybe in summer! 😍❤️
