After we left the two apartments, I discovered a few days later that they hadn't returned our full deposit. We had paid €400 total, €200 for each apartment, and they kept about €250 without warning. It took two days for anyone to answer my email. They said we'd damaged one of the beds, but we hadn't. We spent most of our time out walking and know how to behave. I asked for the date of their photo and other necessary details, but got no further information or reply. No one had come to inspect before we left, which already seemed strange. The poor communication and this whole situation ruined our weekend in Prague. I came away feeling these people were ordinary arrogant thieves.

We lost our money even though our reservation had been made a month before arrival. They ask for a €200 deposit, but the information only arrives by email after you finish booking. It was hidden somewhere beforehand and wasn't in the house rules or guidelines. Check the other reviews too. We missed the bad ones and didn't realize there had been many reports of people not getting their full money back.

A €200 deposit request arrives after booking, with no clear notice before you reserve. For a budget hotel, that's an insane amount. Lots of people say they don't get their money back, and even when a refund comes through it takes seven days or longer. Look at the low-rated reviews on TripAdvisor, Booking, and Google.

The apartment is right in the city center, next to Starbucks, which was perfect. The kitchen had everything, including a sandwich toaster and coffee maker, and there were towels and a hairdryer too. Check-in was very quick. One person could do it for the group, and we paid the €200 deposit at key handover. The keys are collected a 12-minute walk from the apartment. Parking takes a bit of figuring out; garages are available, with €25 per day being the most expensive option. One irritating thing: when you pass through the stairwell with the door open, it beeps, and you can't carry food or drinks through there. Apparently it's a listed building, but that beep is extremely annoying.
