The staff were rude and not much help, and the food was terrible in both taste and quality. Several people in our group developed stomach problems after eating there, with symptoms like an intestinal virus. The room wasn't properly cleaned, and during our stay little was refreshed or replaced, including towels and other basics. The cleanliness and care were well below what you'd expect from a hotel. It was a very disappointing stay, and I wouldn't recommend it.

The air conditioning only worked like a fan. When we pointed that out, they insisted it was working as intended. The rooms and service were awful, and the hotel itself is old and outdated. I've traveled around Europe for the past 10 years, and this was the worst hotel I've stayed in. In my opinion it deserves just 1 star, and the room prices should reflect that. Not recommended.

Breakfast was one of the best parts, with plenty of fresh choices, well presented and regularly replenished. There were sweet and savory options, plus coffee and fruit. EA Hotel Downtown is in a great spot, a few minutes on foot from Wenceslas Square in a quieter area. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet after a day around the city. The staff were friendly, helpful and always smiling. We had a great stay in the heart of Prague and I'd happily stay here again or recommend it to anyone visiting.

The location is handy for the subway, and the front desk was generally understanding when we raised the temperature issue. They brought us a fan. The AC was still pretty weak, though, keeping the room only about 2° C cooler than outside. With the street so loud from people racing cars between 1-3 am, opening the window wasn't an option, and sleeping at 26° C is difficult.

The room is small, but that's fair for the price. The bathroom could be cleaner, as I saw a little mold in the shower. The AC wasn't working well either, so it got a bit hot during summer.
