New management! The breakfast is the best, the staff are very friendly, the rooms are clean and the atmosphere is cozy.

In the morning, seeing the ducks in Prague was gorgeous. The main building’s interior is all wood, and every room has the necessary amenities. The exterior is nice too, with two huge pine trees in the courtyard and a swimming pool that wasn’t in the best condition, though that may just be seasonal. The walls have cracks, so I’d give it a C+. Getting to public transport is quick, although those endless steps take away from the impression. The hotel is conveniently located, though that isn’t obvious at first.

The manager is a really nice woman, God bless her. It’s clean, the kitchen is okay, and the Wi-Fi is poor. The renovations feel quite dated, but each room has a shower, toilet, TV and refrigerator. Overall, I was satisfied.

It’s a little outside the city center, but getting in is no problem if you’re reasonably mobile. The small hotel is very clean, and the incredibly friendly staff explain the way well. You can also get something to eat and a delicious draft beer.

The price, 180 euros for three nights for two people, was far too high for this standard. Breakfast was a disaster: no rolls, just weak bread, no vegetables at all, one kind of cold cut (if it even counts as one), and one kind of cheese. Once we found some sausages, but they were rock-hard. There were eggs, though scrambled eggs were only a dream, plus yogurt, some cereal, tea and supposedly coffee that was clear. Parking was tiny, and although we were promised a spot the next day, there wasn’t one, so the car stayed on a dark street. The bathrooms were dirty and overdue for renovation, and the shower was broken. At this time of year it fell below 7 degrees Celsius overnight, and the room was so cold you’d have to wake up and get dressed. The woman, whether a boss or employee I don’t know, was clearly overworked. Every morning and evening she was doing reception, bartending, cleaning and waiting tables. Meanwhile, a man in a red T-shirt showed up pretending to be a waiter and wiping spoons on his shirt. At first the hotel seems nice, in a quiet neighborhood with good decor, but it has too many drawbacks. I don’t want to offend anyone, but I want to warn others so they don’t end up as disappointed as we were.
