Fantastic 5 Bedroom Duplex in the Old Town

The room itself was fine, but it got extremely hot and there’s no air conditioning. Getting there was a hassle too: construction made access difficult, and because it’s in a pedestrian zone there’s no place to pull up and drop off luggage. We had to walk with our suitcases. On top of that, we had to collect the keys at a different location, which is ridiculous when you’ve just arrived from another country. The receptionist didn’t explain the key and fob clearly either. She said the fob worked the elevator, but it actually opened the front door, and there wasn’t an elevator. They should explain these issues in advance and offer a free ride or drop off from reception to the hotel.

It was cheap and in a really convenient spot, which is why I gave it one star. The place felt unsafe: the main entrance was hardly ever shut, there’s no safe for valuables, and phones were stolen from our room. The beds were terrible, everything was packed into a small space with just one toilet and shower, and the fixtures were very cheap. It also got ridiculously loud at night.

I’m only talking about the three room apartment here. It was clean, with a great kitchen and rooms, and close to everything. Picking up the key means going to another hotel first, then heading to the apartment, but it wasn’t much trouble.

The staff were A+, and it was easy to stay in touch with reception. The room felt high quality, with new furniture, a comfortable bed, a new bathroom, and even a good TV. It’s central, well secured, and cheap too. The residence host gave us a very good introduction.
