Grand Terrace

After 20 hours of driving and border trouble, we had nowhere to sleep in Prague after midnight. We had booked ahead and, since we were arriving from far away by car, asked whether anyone would be there to meet us late. After many text messages with two different numbers, we were told to contact them with our exact arrival time at 23:30. We did, but got no reply. When we arrived at 00:30, nobody was there and both numbers were switched off. It took two more hours to find an available room nearby because everything was overbooked. I'm pregnant, and this was the worst possible experience for someone in my situation. I'm incredibly disappointed. Shame on you, Grand Terrace staff!

The view was okay, but the window glass was a bit dirty, and the room was very small.

The location is great, and the key handover went smoothly. They spoke good English. But for the price, there are better apartments or hotels in Prague, because you're really paying for the location. The apartment needs serious maintenance: the patio doors won't close, the handheld shower leaks, the towel rail is broken, the toilet seat is loose, and the beds are poor quality. There's no coffee maker, and we only got clean towels once.

The terrace was pleasant and the location was good, but this wasn't comfortable for more than three people. The listing didn't make clear that it was a bedroom plus a living room and kitchen. There were four of us, and it didn't work out well. The living room floor is very old and makes a lot of noise, especially at night. We arranged to arrive at 4pm, emailed and called, but the person in charge hadn't understood, so we waited half an hour to get in.
