Hostel Seven

The place was extremely noisy, with chaos in the hallway day and night, so relaxing or sleeping was impossible. The bathroom and toilet were consistently dirty, and the location was inconvenient. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable or reliable stay.

The rooms were hot and stuffy, with insects and stale air, and sleeping was nearly impossible. Cleanliness was awful too: questionable sheets, overflowing bins, and sticky floors. In the bathrooms, flimsy plastic sheets were hung up instead of proper shower curtains. They gave no privacy and water ended up everywhere. It felt unsanitary and absurd. We also found the atmosphere unsettling. Some guests left doors open at night with TVs blaring; others openly used drugs outside the entrance at dawn. We heard of thefts, and there was no staff around to keep an eye on things. The location, despite the slightly appealing name, felt sketchy and unappealing. Getting into the rooms was its own ordeal. There’s no proper reception, just a coded door and self-service kiosks that barely work. We had to call the owner several times. He was rude and condescending, gave us wrong instructions, and eventually hung up when he seemed fed up with helping. It took more than two hours of frustration before we got in, and seeing the rooms made us regret it immediately. Seven Hostels felt like a tourist trap and a lesson in how not to run a place. If comfort, hygiene, and peace of mind matter to you, stay far away. It was a monumental mistake, full of negligence, disrespect, and filth. After this, we won’t make that mistake again. We’re writing this to warn future guests, not to help the owner improve, since we know he likes to reply to reviews in a smug, condescending way and don’t think places like this change. Avoid at all costs.

The entry system simply didn’t work. I waited ages, but nothing happened and I couldn’t get into my room. Thank goodness Booking is refunding me, and their hotline was helpful. The hostel responds to every negative review by calling people liars. Don’t believe that, the reviews are all true.

I hardly ever post negative reviews, but my stay at Hostel Seven in Prague was deeply disappointing. Worst of all, nobody from the hostel could be reached. I called several times at different hours and got no answer. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable or reliable stay.
