We finally spoke to the owners the next morning and asked for a refund. Booking told us the hostel denied what had happened, so we had to send photographic proof. One owner got aggressive, told us to leave, said it wasn’t his problem, and even hit the table in anger. Our stay was terrible from start to finish. We arrived at 8 and waited on a bench for about an hour because nobody was at reception. When the receptionist came, we were told early check-in before 14:00 would cost 20€. Then we were given the wrong key. The hostel was really dirty, nothing like the rooms shown on Booking, and there wasn’t even room to open one suitcase. There was no ladder for the bunk bed, so getting up meant climbing awkwardly. At night we found three bedbugs and immediately packed, looking for somewhere else at the last minute. We ended up sleeping on the floor and reception area sofas. There were dead wasps around the room, spiders, and stains on the sheets. The supposed kitchen was just a microwave and kettle, with no sink. I wouldn’t recommend this hostel to anyone and don’t know how it’s still operating.

The hostel was out of the city, with no reception, staff, cleaning, or Wi-Fi. The fridge was full of old, moldy food and looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned for years; the bins were full and hadn’t been emptied. On arrival, the owner asked for an extra 1 euro per person per night for garbage disposal and wouldn’t hand over our reserved room keys otherwise. It felt like blackmail. The hostel was empty, so don’t expect other guests. The only good thing about this haunted house was having the whole place to yourself, with no one to distract or disturb you.

The whole stay was VERY cheap, only a few hundred crowns, and the Wi-Fi was great. The staff were pretty nice, but that was about the only good part. The rooms felt terribly claustrophobic, the toilets couldn’t be locked, and random people were sleeping in shared areas and outside the building. There are lots of stairs, and food isn’t cheap.

Getting there by Uber is fine, but trains and buses don’t go there after midnight. The toilets and showers weren’t clean. After a few days we noticed marks like mosquito bites, and we’re pretty sure the place had bed bugs.

There was no one at reception when we arrived after midnight, even though the booking site said reception was open 24/7. Staff were highly unprofessional and impolite. We couldn’t arrive at the specified time or check in on the first day, but they charged us for the full stay and wouldn’t let us into the room or let us pay a late check-in penalty. They didn’t answer our calls or requests to postpone check-in. Avoid this place!
