Hotel Attic

The neighborhood is beautiful, and the balcony view is superb, especially on a starry or rainy night. Rooms are spacious and well ventilated, and the staff are polite and friendly. It's quite far from the main city and tourist attractions, but well connected by bus, with a stop just 150 meters away.

It’s clean and affordable, and the area feels safe, with supermarkets and the metro nearby. Still, I wouldn’t book it again. The bathroom broke on my first day and took three days to get fixed, and all they offered was a one-hour-later checkout. Some staff were really helpful, especially the woman with glasses, while others seemed inattentive. The curtains are much too short, and breakfast was okay, though the machine made something I wouldn’t call coffee.

The breakfast was middling, with a decent range and plenty of fruit. The rooms feel dated, about what you’d expect from an average Czech mid-range hotel. Friends said the walls were paper thin, but I didn’t notice much myself. Maybe I was lucky.

The staff were warm and helpful, and the room was well heated in winter. It’s a reasonable distance from the tourist area, and private parking is available, though you have to pay for it. The room itself was tiny, about 2.5 by 4.5 meters, with barely any wardrobe space. There was mold in the bathroom and the shower drain was clogged. Nobody vacuumed during my stay. The pillows were so uncomfortable that my neck hurt for a week afterward. It was noisy near the highway, and with the window open I couldn’t sleep. There’s no air conditioning, so I’d avoid staying here in summer. The hot water was only just warm enough to shower.
