Hotel Peko

A decent option if you're not too fussy. The place is quiet, and the room had air conditioning, fast Wi-Fi, 5G routers, a fridge, hairdryer, large wardrobe, and desk. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the bedding was good quality. A couple of door handles were broken. We had no hot water for a shower after 22:00, although by 09:00 the next morning it was really hot. At check-in, we had to pay a tourist fee for each day of the stay, and checking in after 21:00 costs an extra 250 kc. The listing advertises free parking, but the lot fits only five cars. There was one space when we arrived and none the next day, so parking depends on availability, even though the description makes it sound like spaces are always there.

The hotel has a calm, quiet feel, and the rooms were clean. Staff were friendly, too. It's outside the center, but the station is only a two-minute walk away and takes you into the heart of the city. A really cozy place, I'd recommend visiting.

This feels more like a guesthouse than a hotel. The receptionist was friendly and very cooperative, and both the room and shared areas were generally clean. The room itself was small and musty, though. The carpet and bedsheet were in poor shape, torn and flaking, and there was some damage at the shower corner. Parking is behind a gate in the backyard, with space for only about six cars. Breakfast is available, but you need to arrange it with reception in advance.

The breakfast was basic, but it had what we needed, and the woman making it was very helpful. The bathroom was clean, though the hotel itself is very old. We left after one night instead of staying six because there was no hot water, and the mattress didn't have a sheet. The bedding wasn't proper either.
