MeetMe23 - Hotel

The buffet breakfast had lots of choice and plenty of tables, so it was easy to find space. Our room was roomy, and lockers were included. There’s no TV, but you can borrow an iPad with Netflix. No kettle or complimentary water in the room either, though the train station is nearby for picking up groceries. There are also plenty of Asian restaurants close by, handy for ramen or sushi. MeetMe23 is a short 5-7 minute walk from the main train station, with a park just outside. The entrance took a little figuring out: look for the blue man statue, then go up the staircase to reception. Convenient and comfortable, and I’d book it again.

We had a good stay overall, with clean rooms, a nice breakfast, a convenient location, and friendly staff. The issue was our south-facing triple room in March. Its windows were sealed, so it got uncomfortably hot even at night, and the air conditioning wasn’t available because the hotel was still in heating season. That was the one thing that spoiled it for us.

The location is convenient for the train station, and there’s a restaurant downstairs. The hotel has an artistic feel and a good atmosphere. Our room for four was clean and had a good heater, a large towel, hand soap, and shower and bath soap. The receptionist was kind and helped when I had trouble with the safe box. Staff spoke English very well. There was also a €2 tax, payable in cash or by card.

Getting around was easy from this well-connected location, and the room was large enough for four. They gave us a towel, which you don’t always get at a hostel, and kept our bags after checkout without an extra charge. The place has a distinctive design and a new concept, including a surprising hologram at the entrance. I’d recommend it as a great place to stay in Prague.
