Miss Sophie's Downtown

The breakfast was delicious and relaxed, even when the room was full. There was a note about busy times, fresh hot buffet food, healthy choices like chia seeds and yoghurt, and international options including local spinach and cheese pastries, plus Argentinian and Italian favourites. The staff made us mango lassis and poured us wine after a long day of walking. Our room felt more like a suite, with loads of space and a sofa. The beds were comfortable, we slept really well with no noise even in the busiest season, and the room stayed warm while it was cold outside. We could open the window for fresh air, and there was morning light plus blackout curtains. The rain shower was great, and the coffee machine made the best coffee I’ve had in a hotel room. Loved the welcome notes and personal touch. It’s a friendly place, cosy but spacious, near the main train station and historic downtown, yet quiet. Everything we wanted to see, including the old squares, was walkable. Prague has plenty of hotels, but these suite-like rooms seem especially suited to friends, families, or a longer stay.

Housekeeping, breakfast, and front desk support all took great care of us. We felt so welcome, and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. Special thanks to Daria and the other front of house team. We’re grateful and hope to return.

The team made me feel right at home, and even prepared an early breakfast so I wouldn’t have to travel hungry to Zurich. Such a thoughtful touch. The interior is gorgeous and everything was sparkling clean. I’m really impressed with Miss Sophie's and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Prague.

The staff were incredibly nice and even stored our bags for free. Breakfast had lots to choose from, including warm options close to a British breakfast, and we really enjoyed it. The spacious room was clean when we arrived, looked nice, and had what we needed, including shampoo, body lotion, water, air conditioning, and a big window. We could also choose housekeeping preferences, like keeping sheets and towels unchanged or putting up a do not disturb sign. The location and friendly service would make me come back. There were a few downsides: the walls aren’t very thick, and the doors are heavy, so they slammed loudly in the evening, even up to 10 pm. The pillows weren’t that comfortable for me, though that’s just my personal preference. I’d give it 4.5 stars if I could.
