Old Town Rybna Apt by Ruterra

The staff really tried to make our stay pleasant, and communication was good. The apartment was spotless, very central, and had a huge bathroom. We had no issues at all, and they made the stay memorable. Thanks so much, we’ll book through you next time we’re in Prague.

We were also misled about the location. The apartment we got was lovely, in good shape and by the river with a nice view, but it wasn’t anywhere near where we’d booked. The listing clearly said it would be within 300m of Masna 20, and it wasn’t. When we raised that, we got odd denials, much like the replies to other reviews. @Old City apartments, please be clearer about where the apartments actually are. If we’d known the location beforehand, we could’ve adjusted our plans and I’d have rated the stay 5/5. It’s a shame, and this will hurt your rating for years if you don’t fix the expectation problem.

The photos speak for themselves. The last three were taken at night. Light and loud people from the street really help you sleep better… 😉 Thanks for your reply, but it leaves out an important detail. The manager said I’d have to pay an extra cleaning fee for the apartment that didn’t meet expectations before I could view another one. I reported the problem as soon as I entered. What if the next place wasn’t suitable either? Would I have to pay again just to look at it? That seems like a very questionable and unfair practice. The listing didn’t say reception was in one place while the apartments were spread across the city. It also didn’t mention that this apartment was above a cannabis shop, with loud music outside and the smell spreading through the building. It really affected our comfort. The apartment wasn’t in acceptable condition either. The radiators were dirty, the curtains stained, the doors worn out, and the bathroom ceiling was in very poor shape. Overall, it looked like it hadn’t been properly renovated in a long time. So I don’t agree that the apartment matched the listing. If these details had been clear in advance, there’d probably be fewer guests feeling misled and leaving negative reviews. Kind regards, Yuliia

Avoid booking here. We reserved an apartment through booking for four people, including an infant in a pram. It wasn’t at the address shown on booking, and the elevator didn’t work, even though the apartment was on the third floor. I can’t take stairs because of an injury, which was one reason we chose this place. They told us the elevator was broken and wouldn’t be fixed. When we asked for another place, they offered one without a kitchen, which wouldn’t work for sterilizing our infant’s bottles. We couldn’t accept it, so they pressured us to sign a waiver, saying they’d mark it as “keys not returned” and charge us extra if we didn’t. We never even entered the apartment, but three weeks later we still haven’t got our property damage deposit back. We’ve involved a lawyer now. This feels like a scam.
