OREA Hotel Pyramida Praha

The breakfast spread was huge and varied, with something for everyone. The room was clean, spacious, and well maintained, and the view from the eighth floor was lovely. There’s a swimming pool, playroom, cinema, and restaurant. The only small drawback was that there’s no room service, though it wasn’t a major issue. One food suggestion: add pizza to the menu, especially since the pizza at breakfast was absolutely delicious.

The big recreation area had plenty of tables and seating, handy for working on a laptop or spending time by the bar for food and drinks. There’s also a playroom for little ones, with areas for babies from six months and older kids, including floor animations, drawing and painting tables, and a play kitchen. The sauna and gym looked great for evenings. My room was clean, renovated, quiet, and had a comfortable bed and lots of fresh white towels. It came with capsule coffee, tea, and water, which saved us a supermarket trip. The staff were welcoming and polite. I enjoyed the kitchen food, the portions were big lol, and it was delicious. The coffee was tasty and hot. WiFi had some interruptions on the first night, but everything else was perfect.

The pool and spa were closed during my stay, so I couldn’t use them. Housekeeping was also inadequate: my room wasn’t properly cleaned during my stay, and the towels weren’t clean enough. The bed was really uncomfortable. On the plus side, the hotel was well located, with a tram and bus stop right outside for easy trips to the city center. Breakfast was fantastic, possibly the best hotel buffet I’ve seen in Europe, with lots of variety and delicious food. Transport was easy, and the price-performance ratio was excellent.

The reception staff were super kind and helpful, making a fantastic first impression. Breakfast was top notch, fresh and tasty, with a great choice. The lobby and breakfast restaurant also have a modern, attractive design. The rooms, though, felt very standard and quite old. There was no fridge or minibar, and the carpets looked used and dirty. The exterior looks old too, so the hotel gave me mixed feelings. The location is decent, around a 20-30 minute walk from Carl's Bridge.
