Pension Dobroucky

I keep coming back here when I’m in Prague. The owners are wonderful, and the clean, cosy rooms make it the best value for the money I’ve found. Highly recommended.

I wasn’t able to stay after a booking dispute. I reserved a double room but accidentally left off the extra guest, then couldn’t add them through the system, so I contacted the hotel. The price difference for the second person in the same room was quite large. I felt the hotel snapped at customers right away and didn’t allow for possible language misunderstandings, even though they’re foreigners too. My reservation clearly showed a double room with one guest. Here’s how the conversation went: Me: Hi! How much will I be charged for the room if I arrive with one extra guest? Hotel: For a double room and two nights, total: 129.60 € Me: That is nearly twice as much as for one person for the same room Hotel: that is the price for two people, you have booked a single room. what's so weird about it? Me: excuse me? I have not said the word "weird". What's weird is that you are not even saying hello and now you are saying that I have described something as "weird". The reservation clearly says that this IS a double room, unfortunately I forgot to add both guests but I have still booked a double, not a single room. Hotel: If you do not understand, cancel your reservation and stay somewhere else. You will not be accommodated with us in any case Me: excuse me? what exactly I have done wrong? I am asking whether the room I have booked is a double or a single room because it says that it is a double room. Hotel: Cancel the reservation, we will not accommodate you. Last word, this ends the conversation with you

The rooms were clean and spacious, and the service was great and very helpful. I really appreciated being able to adjust the check-in hours.

Nice accommodation for a good price.
