Jaguraov? B.
We were disappointed by the room, which was tiny, smelled sour and damp, and had worn, shabby towels. From the photos I expected a nice apartment, but this wasn’t what I’d hoped for. The receptionist spoke only a few words of English, though she was helpful, and the cleaning lady was very polite and kind. The price also changed from €170 to €190 because the booking wasn’t confirmed at first. That was a small annoyance, but the room was far too expensive compared with newer, nicer places much closer to central Prague. I’d already booked a cheaper, more modern apartment before, at a much lower price. Breakfast could have been better in both quality and variety for three people. The location isn’t far from the city centre, with a four-minute walk to the tram stop.

The location is the one good thing, about a 35-minute walk along the river to the city centre. Luckily Prague is a wonderful city, so we didn’t mind having to sleep in such a horrible room. We’d booked ahead for four people and one dog, but the room was much too small for us, and they charged extra for the dog. There wasn’t room for luggage, and we had to climb over one another and take turns walking around so we wouldn’t step on each other. We got only four very small towels; it took until the third day to get one of normal size for the shower. Breakfast was brought to our cramped room: tea or coffee for the kettle, some bread slices, ham, cheese, and jam. Four of us had to eat at a tiny table, two on the bed and two on stools, with no room to move. The dog had to stay under the table because the luggage took up the rest of the floor. This room might work for two people. The lady wasn’t very kind and didn’t try to make us more comfortable. The bathroom was really small, but the shower was new, the only good thing in the room.

This is only worth considering as a cheap last-minute option. The owner is nice, but that’s about the only positive. Most days, “breakfast” arrived after we’d already had to leave.

For a low price, the location near the city centre is a real plus, and the woman who owns the place is lovely. The room itself was damp all the time, with dirty patches on the walls and floor. The sofa bed was too small for an average-sized adult. It might still suit someone mainly looking for a cheap place close to the centre.

The location is good, but I thought the room was far too expensive for what it was. We booked a room for two, and the photos gave the wrong impression. This isn't really a hotel: there's no reception desk, and when we arrived, a man handed over the key, showed us to the room, and asked for cash rather than a card. There was barely room to move without bumping into something. The toilet was in a tiny separate space, while the shower was right by the bed beside a small sink. The room was very dark, too. Outside, clean towels were hung in the park where people walked past and touched them before they were given to guests. That was disgusting. They knocked on the door at 8:00 every morning to bring breakfast. The photo shows what we were given. And the hot water suddenly stopped while I was showering. No hot water at all!
