It can be tricky to spot the place the first time, since it's somewhat tucked away. Once inside, the rooms are plain but practical, clean enough, and mine came with a few plates and some tableware. The toilet and shower share a very small space. People talking loudly on the stairs carried through the thin room door and bothered me. Getting to my room meant going through three or four locked doors, which could feel like a nuisance or reassuring, depending on how you see it. The location is very central, about a five-minute walk from the main square, and the main sights are all reachable on foot. Staff were friendly.

For check-ins after 9 pm, you can pick up your keys at the hotel next door, which is handy. My room was clean, though the place felt a bit old and well-used. Everything was OK.

The room was awful: the bed was broken, the towels were dirty, and there was fungus and mildew in the shower. The location was great and the prices were reasonable, but those were the only good points.

We came as a group of 17 for a stag do, and the staff were lovely and really friendly. Ace little place.
