The price seemed fair compared with other hostels and hotels in Prague, and parking on the street was easy, with plenty of room. The place looks far from the center at first, but the tram ride is only about 20 minutes. These apartments feel more like sheds converted into places to stay, though, and there were some real downsides. The garden was neglected, with random wooden boards stored along the sides. Our apartment looked cosy at first, but then we noticed a hole in the sheets and walls so thin we could hear neighbors talking, moving around, snoring, and using the toilet. It could have been cleaner too. The bathroom was small and awkward, and although there was a heater, I can't imagine staying here in winter because there's no insulation at all.

The owner was friendly and quick to respond, the Wi-Fi was fast, and the house had everything we needed. It was fairly clean, and there were lots of bottled waters because the tap water wasn't drinkable. We only had breakfast there, but if you're planning to cook, bring a pot. There was just one, and it was small. The house was cute and cosy. It got really hot during the day without air conditioning, though the little fan helped a bit. The tram stop was three minutes away, and the ride into the city center took 25 minutes. It's a shame the place isn't maintained better because it has a lot of potential. The garden makes a bad first impression, with dirt, old sunbeds, wooden planks, tubes, and trash scattered around. Flags tied to the trees don't improve it. You'd be better off staying inside, which is a letdown when the name includes "Prague retro challenge and GARDEN". The showers didn't work for the first two days because the water comes from a well filled by rain. The toilet wasn't firmly fixed to the floor and moved around. Bathroom pipes hang along the walls and were even used to hold toilet paper. The sink was too small for washing dishes, the mirror was about the size of a hand mirror, and the thin walls let you hear every noise from the neighbors.

It's okay if all you need is somewhere to sleep, but winter isn't the best time to stay here. The manager came quickly when we called with a question about the stay, and our arrival time wasn't a problem. It's pet friendly. If you're coming without a car, I'd choose somewhere else. And if you want privacy, this place isn't for you.

The wooden cottage was dirty and smelled bad. Absolutely awful.

A perfect stay. I'll definitely come back.
