Prague Sweet Home

The rooms were simple but clean, and the neighborhood was very quiet. We came as a family with three kids and liked the peaceful, secluded spot at the end of the road. Still, don’t expect a hotel. It’s a private house with very vague rules, and everything seemed to depend on the host’s mood. She said she was “too tired” to clean the common room after the previous guests and didn’t want to let us in. When I insisted, she did, and the room was perfectly ready. She asked us to save electricity, which made sense, but then reproached us rather meanly for having the light on in our apartment while the whole family was there. By 3pm she still hadn’t cleaned the breakfast table, so I partly cleaned it myself because of the smell. The worst part was her negative comments about our sick, crying baby. Eating in the rooms was forbidden, so I fed him in the living room, but she said he was too loud, even though there were no other guests in the house. It’s fine not to like every guest, but we felt unwelcome.
