The Cloud One Prague

The room was spacious and had a cozy feel, with a fireplace scene playing on the TV. The bathroom and shower were nice, and everything was clean. We were allowed to check in a couple of hours early, which helped a lot after a long travel day and airport delays. The hotel is lovely, though it’s a short walk from the Old Town and other attractions.

The location is a strong point: about a 10-minute walk to the Old Town, with plenty of good restaurants and bars nearby, and right beside a large train station. The room was bright and pleasant, though cramped. There was no wardrobe, minibar, or even a small place for a suitcase. We also had to ask reception for extra toilet paper, which felt more like a guesthouse than a proper hotel. Housekeeping was the biggest letdown. We stayed four nights, and after the first day our room was cleaned only once. I first thought the missed cleaning on day two was an oversight, then asked reception specifically on day three and they did clean it. That was extremely disappointing. We chose a hotel expecting basic cleaning, and if I’d known this would happen, I’d have booked somewhere else. For the price, the quality felt poor for such a well-known Prague name.

The rooms were tidy and clean, but small enough that luggage made things feel cramped. We chose Cloud One - Prague for its closeness to the train station and Old Town, and it delivered on that. The service was disappointing. I got sick during the trip and needed hot water for medicine and tea. There was no kettle in the room, so I asked if they could lend one or give me a flask of hot water for a couple of nights. They said they couldn’t, and that I’d need to upgrade my room to get a kettle. I was visibly unwell and wasn’t being fussy, it was just a simple request.

We really enjoyed the rooftop bar, restaurant and lounge, and the modern, sleek decor was great. The rooms were clean and comfortable too. Ema at the front desk gave especially good customer service. The location is under a 10-minute walk from Prague’s main train station and around 15 minutes on foot from the city center. I’d recommend staying here for a Prague vacation.
