U Suteru Boutique Hotel

I can’t speak to the hotel itself, but I had the best time at the bar thanks to bartender Chris. He was so welcoming and friendly, and made me the best cocktail ever!!!!! Definitely recommend it!

The friendly, helpful service from all the staff stood out most during our short Christmas break, especially Rudolph. The location worked perfectly for us, and we enjoyed walking around and exploring. If you want a rustic, traditional stay in Prague, I’d recommend it. We booked the attic room, which involved a lot of stairs and no elevator, so you’ll want to be fit. The room was nice and basic, just what we wanted and what the pictures led us to expect. No surprises. We hope to stay again in the summer and are looking forward to it.

The hotel is close to the Metro and tram lines into Old Town and elsewhere, and you can also walk to Old Town, even from across the river. There are several nearby restaurants; we especially liked The Dutch Pub and Hlavkuv Dvur. The reception staff were helpful and spoke decent English. Our room was beautiful, with a very comfy bed and pillows and an extra sofa to relax on. It was cleaned and the bed made each day. Breakfast was a decent continental spread from 8am. We didn’t try lunch or dinner at the restaurant because it wasn’t advertised in our room, though its reviews looked good. There was a kettle but no tea or coffee at first; they left some tea bags while we were out. The bathtub was short but deep, and it was annoying that there was nowhere to attach the shower head. It was also very high, which could make getting in and out difficult for someone less able.
