Villa Voyta

I like this part of Prague, and the location is lovely, not far from the subway, though it isn’t really central. The house itself is very nice, and the staff seemed a bit tired but were friendly. The rooms look fancy, like those in pricier hotels, but aren’t especially comfortable. I’ve stayed in cheaper places with more space and better beds. Still, it’s great if you just need somewhere to sleep and have breakfast.

The hotel and rooms were clean and had everything you’d expect at this kind of place. Breakfast was okay and pretty standard, though 7:30, if I remember right, might be too late for some. The corner room above the restaurant was quite noisy, perhaps from the stairs and kitchen. Heating only worked in the bathroom, and I couldn’t adjust the room heaters. Our company had arranged and confirmed the reservation a week earlier, but nothing showed in the system when we arrived. We were lucky there were still rooms available. This was also the first hotel where I was asked to pay before the stay. I’d choose somewhere else next time.

We spent nine days at Villa Voyta, and it was a very good stay for me and my husband. The atmosphere felt authentic and pleasantly traditional, and the place was peaceful and romantic. Our room had a nice balcony and a really large bathroom with a proper tub. Breakfast was very good, and the staff were professional. I learned that the restaurant is popular in this part of the city. Public transport is nearby, there are plenty of parking spaces, and there’s a small park and a large one close by.

The rooms were clean, but very, very old. The hotel has an old Russian style and wasn’t bad, though the receptionist was extremely rude. You’d regret asking him anything, and staying here because of him too. There’s also a woman chef who’s the best in the country and thinks of everything for you. Breakfast wasn’t good, with no cheese and not much choice. You can choose another hotel for the same price.
