The owner cancelled my paid booking without asking me, apparently because someone else may have offered more as the holiday period approached. I couldn't cancel under the booking terms without losing all my money, yet he could back out without taking any risk. With the holidays so close, there were hardly any apartments left and prices were at least 50% higher. To me, that was completely dishonest, and I wouldn't trust or recommend this owner. Before cancelling, he also tried to convince me that his private residence, which has its own heating, would have no hot water during the peak tourist season on my dates. Ha ha. What a sly move.

The apartment was clean and pleasant despite extensive renovation work and insulation on the building. It was a peaceful place, with shops and restaurants nearby, and a tram stop close by that goes straight to the city centre in about 30 minutes. A good base for seeing Prague. There was street parking, and everything matched the description. The staff were friendly and helpful. I'd recommend it.

The bathroom and internet were the highlights, the connection was excellent. Mr. VUu was friendly and tried to sort out the problems we had at the start. The apartment is in a converted garage, and the beds are more like airport cots, though they are sleepable. The kitchen was fine, but only had two cups, two cutting boards, and so on. No coffee maker or toaster either. After spending half my life in hotels around the world, I'd say it's too expensive for what you get. That friendliness earns it a third star.
