Chalupa Baba Jaga

The owner was thoughtful about letting us postpone checkout, which was much appreciated. The stream nearby makes a lovely sound, and although the cottage is by the road, traffic was so light that it didn’t bother us. In winter, having the ski slope so close must be great. The Baba Yaga theme has real character, with stone cladding, an oven, lots of props, and witches hanging from the ceiling. The kids enjoyed the table football. There’s a large kitchen that seems to come from a professional setup, with plenty of utensils, though a few things weren’t quite right, like a missing fridge shelf and a toaster that switches off. It was pretty cold, so we warmed up by the oven. We could’ve used some pepo, but eventually chopped up chips and found some leftover paper, so we made do. There’s a nice outdoor grilling area by the kitchen, with a gas grill.

We were a group of 22 and had a wonderful weekend. The kids loved the place too, and we’d happily come back soon. The cottage is spacious and cozy, clean, and beautifully prepared. Every room has its own bathroom, while the toilets downstairs by the bar are a handy extra. The pergola outside is a lovely spot to sit and grill. There’s lots of room and four grills, including one for a pig. The professional kitchen is amazing and well equipped. It’s a unique place for a holiday or even a short weekend, and in winter it’s especially convenient to have a ski slope and lift right beside the cottage. We also had a great meal at the Zelený mlýn restaurant. They really cook excellently here. Baba - Yaga cottage is simply the best cottage we’ve ever seen, absolutely breathtaking. I can’t think of a better one in the Czech Republic.

We were 20 friends, and it worked really well for our group. It’s a stylish, clean guesthouse with everything we needed. If you want to visit a witch’s hut and enjoy a luxurious stay, come here. I definitely recommend it.

The shared spaces worked perfectly for our group of 26, and we enjoyed our stay. The kitchen has professional equipment, though a dishwasher and a stove with a working oven might be all that’s needed. The rooms are nice, but getting to the upper-floor bedrooms means climbing mill stairs, so they’re not suitable for older people, prostate patients, or anyone with vertigo. Residents in some rooms complained about a smell from the septic tank.
