Penzion Paseky U Zapadlych vlastencu

We got good value for our money. The rooms were clean and simply furnished, breakfast had a nice selection and tasted good, and the owner was friendly. Dinner can be arranged on request, and there’s a big common room for evenings together. Paseky and Rokytnice ski resorts were easy to reach by car.

The owner was friendly, and breakfast and dinner were delicious. The dog’s bed right beside the buffet was one unexpected detail, though. Maybe it really does make everything taste better to have a four-legged friend nearby. By retro-hotel standards, the accommodation was fairly clean and spacious. But our basement room was cold and damp, enough to feel like an arctic adventure. Bring warm underwear. I doubt even the heater provided could fix the humidity. If I ever stayed here again, I’d definitely ask for a room that hadn’t once been a basement.

The owner greeted us right away and seems to handle everything himself. There’s no staff, but he clearly has things well in hand, and I can recommend staying here. The location is quiet, there’s a pleasant seating area, a swimming pool, and a self-service bar. Breakfast was plentiful, and dinner was excellent, with soup included. The owner is a real talent in the kitchen, even though he’s only been cooking there himself for a few years since the pension has no staff. I also appreciated being able to choose from two meals. The soups were amazing, and the main dishes were great too. Nothing to complain about. 10/10, and I’ll definitely visit again.

The owner was excellent to deal with, and the buffet breakfast and dinner were both great ❤️ Our room was clean and cozy, and a cot was no problem. We stayed last year and again this year, and already look forward to coming back next year 😊❤️
