The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, works well for families, and offers plenty of dishes. That’s about the extent of the good points, though. It’s noticeably pricier than nearby restaurants, despite the food and service being worse. The pizzas we tried, Hawaii and margarita, were dry and bland, with hardly any tomato sauce. On the mozzarella pizza, oregano was almost the only flavor I could taste, and the base was dry too. They tasted like frozen pizzas, and I’ve had better ones. Our steaks were clearly overcooked. Mine was partly just dry. The fried potatoes and green beans, on the other hand, were very good. Service ranged from mediocre to bad. One of the two waitresses seemed in a hurry even though the restaurant didn’t look very busy. I can’t know exactly how much she had to do, but I felt unwelcome. She also forgot part of my order. The other waitress was very friendly, and I have no complaint about her. Another thing that threw us off was the gap between courses: the pizzas came first, while the steaks took around 15 more minutes. By then, those of us with pizza were already halfway through. I’m sorry to leave such a negative review, but I wouldn’t recommend this place. With so many issues, I’m surprised the reviews aren’t worse. Café Kino, literally across the street and less than a five-minute walk away, is one nearby option for better food and service at a lower price.
