The staff were all kind and helpful, and the prices are very low. A lovely way to spend some time in Czechia. I'd recommend it.

The place itself is beautiful, but the service is awful. Their smažák costs twice as much for half the quality, and even the cutlery breaks because they can't provide proper utensils.

The chalets are pretty basic, with no towels or even a glass to drink water from. It was freezing when we arrived, and warming the place with the supplied wood took about an hour. They could at least light the fire half an hour before guests arrive. A couple of cups, a kettle for the stove, and some tea bags would be nice too. The chalet stay itself was OK, and the breakfast eggs were really tasty. The potato pancakes with vegetables and chicken were also OK, though much too oily and a bit pricey. The staff were friendly, but the Kofola had gone flat. The forest setting is interesting if you fancy a short walk to the Brdo viewpoint, though sadly it's closed in winter.

The chalets are a budget option, but they're quite cramped for five people. We stayed just one night, so it wasn't a big deal, though I'd expect the lack of space to matter more on a longer stay. There's also a newly renovated Forest restaurant for a quick meal and a kids' park.
