Hotel Golf Ostrava Silherovice

A really bad place, with zero service. Lost out in the forest.

The room looked like it was furnished in the 1980s, much like the hotel itself. After I booked by phone two weeks ahead, they told us no reservation had been made. Then a room "happened" to become available, but because of what they called an "exceptional situation," it cost us almost half again as much as the advertised price. I'd recommend this place to people who want to spend as little time as possible at their lodging, ideally without sleeping there at all.

The greens were beautiful in mid-October. But running two tournaments at once and allowing fee-paying players onto the course without telling them what was going on seemed unfair, especially to those of us paying to play.

We arrived, picked up the keys at the so-called reception bar, and found the room in fairly decent shape. But the pool was drained and the restaurant wasn't operating. The terrace with the advertised evening barbecue and seating area wasn't available either. There were just two cleaners in the hotel, and they knew nothing. No phone number was posted at the reception for questions. We called a woman who said she didn't know, would check, and later called back to tell us half board was outside the hotel, about a kilometer away. My son and I had booked a hotel stay that was supposed to include a pool, meals at the hotel, and use of the golf course, according to the advertised offer. None of that happened. The old photos seem to show the hotel's state around ten years ago, judging by the trees and the building. Shocked and disgusted, we went straight home without using anything. Locals, including staff at the restaurant we were directed to, said people who come here are dissatisfied with the quality of everything. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, except perhaps for a random golf outing without expecting to stay overnight. We arranged the stay through Slevomat and are grateful to the woman there for her helpful response. We called her right away, and she resolved everything immediately. Thank you to the Slevomat team.
