The room was in a miserable state: quite dirty, with broken things, yellow stains, and a leaking shower. Even the toilet brush was disgusting. At least the view was nice, but we’ll never return. The receptionist at Martin was rude and lazy, and they had no details about our reservation. Our payment through booking.com had only gone through partially. We also had to fill out passport forms, but there wasn’t even a pen in the room. This was the worst hotel experience we’ve ever had.

The rooms have an old-school feel, but you’ll love them. The hotel is close to nature and the location is good. The view is beautiful, and the food is amazing, though expensive.

Breakfast was the only good part. The double room was very tiny and cost 100€/night, yet sauna use wasn’t included. We only found out on site that it costs extra and needs to be booked.

At 100EUR a night, I expected more. The breakfast used the cheapest ingredients, had very little choice, and was the same every day. There were hardly any options for vegetarians. Despite the no-smoking rule, our room smelled of cigarettes every afternoon, and there was no kettle in the room.

My mom, her husband, and their Akita-inu Akiro had been coming to Martin’s hotel every winter for nine years, always booking the President-room and feeling like VIP guests. On 8.02.2019, a pit bull with no leash attacked their dog right outside the hotel, and my mom’s husband was seriously hurt trying to deal with it. The dog belongs to the hotel owner’s son. The owner said he wasn’t responsible for his son, and that was the end of it: no help with medical bills, no sympathy, and they still charged the full accommodation price. Akiro needed a two-hour operation and is now in bad condition. Please be careful staying here, especially with pets. You could get badly hurt and they may not even apologize, because they don’t seem to care about their guests.
