If you’re out skiing, hiking, or exploring all day and only need somewhere to sleep, this hotel is good value. Just keep your expectations low about the rooms. We found dust everywhere, hairs in the bed, mirrored wardrobe, and on the nightstands, plus stains on the radiator, walls, mattresses, mattress protectors, and shower tray. The rooms are very basic and cleanliness doesn’t seem to be a priority. Furniture throughout the hotel is very worn. There’s no room service or minibar, and the TV is in the common room rather than the hotel room. The shower head came off while we were using it. The balcony door needed a lot of force to close airtight, or a strong draft came in. We had booked three nights but changed it to two at check-in. The hotel agreed without trouble and without compensation. Breakfast was fairly good with plenty of choice. It was easy to communicate in English around town, but harder at the hotel; we got by with gestures, a few words, and pictures on our phones. The town is lovely, about a five-minute drive away. So if you’re happy with a basic place to sleep, the value is good. Enjoy! ☺

The rooms are simple and tidy, and breakfast is good. The à la carte menu isn’t anything special, but it’s enough after a day on the slopes. What really stands out is the charm of the hotel and how exceptionally hospitable the staff are.

The room and the whole hotel smelled musty, and the beds were very uncomfortable. The mattresses sagged and I could feel the springs pressing into me. Our room looked out onto a busy road. Dinner on our half-board plan was absolutely inedible, while breakfast was average. On the plus side, the hotel was clean, and the younger of the two receptionists, a helpful and accommodating man with glasses, was great. This hotel definitely doesn’t meet three-star standards!!!!!!

Lunch at Zájezdní hostinc Styl was just like grandma’s cooking, and the price was a pleasant surprise. No high-altitude surcharge, just soup and a main course for 77 CZK, plus a funny hostess. Nearby, you can see pigs and sheep grazing, and Labská Dam is just 50 m away. I recommend it!
