A bit tatty, but who cares? It’s a proper old-time hotel from the communist era, and everything has been well preserved. We stayed there with 5 children. Our room was spacious, with a great view over the town and a balcony. The ashtray definitely came in handy. The restaurant had chilled beer and excellent Moravian wine until 2300, great! If you’re lucky, there’s live local Folklore Music too. Yea baby, live! The price is the cherry on top. I’d recommend it to everyone. Many regards from England, thanks))

We only ate here, so I’m rating just the food and service. The food was okay, but service was slow and not especially friendly. The place has that stereotypical small-town hotel look, with the same sort of furniture they all seem to have for some reason. Not pretty, but I guess it works.

We sat on the terrace hoping for a cappuccino around 9 am. After more than ten minutes, a waitress came to clean a table and ignored us. We waited another five minutes, then left without really trying anything. Very bad service.

The rooms and staff were great, but a few small things could be improved. The hotel grounds looked old, very much in an eighties style, so we were a bit worried on arrival. The room floor and the room itself soon put me at ease. The room was beautiful and clean, above standard for a three-star hotel. One downside was some guests, mainly mature Polish girls, shouting until the early hours. Breakfast food was all fine, fresh, and there was a fairly solid selection. But the coffee queue was incredible. They really need at least two more coffee machines. I never even got to the coffee 🙂.
