It was cold in the room during our January stay, and the radiator didn’t stay warm consistently. The room itself was small but fine for a short visit, with a kettle, cups and tea bags. We could also use the kitchenette fridge and dishes. The guesthouse is tucked away in a pleasant little alley, and the owner was nice. Communication was fine, and having our own key for both the room and entrance gave us complete independence.

We’d stay here again. The hostess was friendly and easy to deal with, and both rooms, numbers 1 and 3, were clean. We were five people, and had a fridge and microwave in each. The bathroom was spacious, with a heated towel rail. Beds were two metres long, with firm but not hard mattresses. Some seemed more worn than others. Mine was good, while my wife’s felt a little uneven.

No breakfast, which I only learned once I got there, even though I could’ve sworn the booking page made it sound great. Luckily, Penny is just around the corner. The place was pretty average, but fine for a night’s sleep. I’m not fussy about food, so it worked for me.
