Breakfast was good, and the biergarten was a pleasant place to sit. The staff were friendly, and my room was comfortable for a one-night stay. It’s a handy base for visiting Pilsen, about a 15-minute drive into the city. The hotel seems to have been remodeled from an old barn, which gives it character. The soundproofing could be better, and the stairs to the rooms are quite steep, so it’s not a good fit for anyone with mobility issues.

The surrounding countryside is lovely, and the staff were friendly. I stayed just one night in this cozy-looking historic building, renovated in baroque style. The room was neat and clean.

The beef broth was awful, basically water and garlic, and after a bad starter and such poor service we went to another pub for our main course. We’d booked a table for eight for a birthday dinner, but the waitress was very bad and the empty coffee cups stayed on trays on the table for almost an hour. It was my first visit, and my last.

The house and rooms look amazing, with a beautiful rustic feel from the wood and stone. The hospitality was nice, but breakfast was poor.
