Darina and Martin are wonderful hosts, and the place is lovely. There are several cottages, all equally nice, with a view of the opposite hill. The kitchen is well equipped, and you can go hiking or paragliding nearby.

We’ll really miss our morning coffee by the fireplace, watching the snow come down. We arrived on Christmas Sunday and were given such a warm welcome. Since our car couldn't make it to the house, the host helped with our luggage. With all the shops and restaurants closed, they kindly offered us hot food and bread. The house looked even better in person, and we were surprised to find a Christmas tree and homemade biscuits waiting for us. The fire was already lit, making the night warm and cozy. Everything was spotless and felt like home, with what we needed for a short or long stay. The kitchen is well equipped, and there’s an outdoor BBQ. The bed was big and comfortable. They also had maps, information and recommendations, and the hosts gave us suggestions when we asked where to go. Disinfectant and sanitizer were available too. In the morning we found a slide outside our door and had fun on it while the snow lasted. If you want a cozy place and a taste of Czech hospitality, U Haliny Tyra is the place to be.
