We spent the last few days of 2019 at the hotel. The location is lovely, right beside the spectacular Basilica of Velehrad and the walking trails, and the price for what you get feels fair. Even with some internal issues, the staff were friendly and flexible, and did their best to meet our needs. I really appreciated that. A good place to stay for a reasonable price. Cheers!

We only ate at the restaurant, we didn't stay at the hotel. The food looked nicely arranged, but the taste was a letdown. The linguine with cherry tomatoes, prosciutto and Parmesan was fine with the sauce and tomatoes, but the prosciutto seemed to be some dry ham, torn into chunks and fried until black. The pork cheeks with dark beer and mashed potatoes were very dry and salty, and my wife had an upset stomach afterward. The drinks were limited too. There was only one beer on tap, Bernard, and we didn't think much of it, though tastes differ. It cost 39Kc, and there was nothing non-alcoholic on tap. Kofola was also 39Kc, poured from a plastic bottle at the bar. We paid 50Kc for homemade lemonades. The cucumber one was great, but the watermelon one was bland and watery, though it did have some nice melon pieces. The hotel looks appealing from outside. Still, the poor food and staff who seemed disoriented and were hard to hear spoiled the visit.

It's a beautiful spot, only a 2 minute walk from the center. It was pretty hot inside, especially in the hallways, but that wasn't a big deal. The rooms could use more cleaning, though. The carpets were dirty and the closets dusty.

The food was fantastic and cheap, and the beer was great too. The servers were lovely and in a good mood. I'd recommend the restaurant.

The rooms feel old-fashioned, the food is below average, and the beer is bad. Breakfast is in a small space, with very little on offer, and it runs out within a minute. The people also aren't very friendly or helpful.
