The traditional Czech food at Madl restaurant was fine, but the service and timing were poor. There were five of us, and the starters came in a messy sequence: the first two soups arrived before everyone had drinks, the third starter came five minutes later, and the rest followed another five minutes after that. Then the main courses started arriving right away, and not all at once. When I raised the issue with the staff, they seemed surprised that I had a problem.

I went away with friends for a couple of nights and hadn't expected much, but the accommodation and hospitality really impressed me. I overdid it at the wine tasting, so next time I'll pace myself. Hope to be back next year. Thanks!

A good place to stop overnight, and the dinner was very tasty. The rooms do need renovation.

Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, and the accommodation itself was comfortable and nice. The restaurant, though, was awful. The smell of burnt tomatoes carried from a distance, and the Eidam cheese was hard.

A really nice place with lovely wines. Definitely recommend it.
