Grandhotel Tatra

The forest views from our clean, comfortable rooms were a real balm for the soul, and the whole hotel sits in lovely countryside. Our corporate team-building weekend went brilliantly. From our first contact, the sales manager was helpful and flexible, and made sure our requests were handled. Meals and drinks were all excellent, from the four-course dinner and breakfast to the coffee breaks and bar. We also really enjoyed tasting Navrátilova Slivovica, a fun activity we’d recommend trying. Thanks to everyone at Grand Hotel Tatra. We’ll definitely return.

The staff were the highlight, and dinner from the à la carte menu was great too. Booking was the frustrating part. We tried calling a bunch of numbers without getting anywhere, so we reserved by email. Only later were we told the degustation menu needed to be booked in advance. Still a 5/5 for us, especially because of the staff. Maybe next time! 🤷‍♀️

We came to Velke Karlovice for a peaceful, relaxing weekend, and had a lovely stay at Grandhotel Tatra. There isn't much to do nearby, so that quiet atmosphere suited us. Before we arrived, Mrs. Manakova replied to every email and made us feel welcome. Our suite was small but very clean, and the children were clearly thought of: each got an owl as a gift, a bathrobe in the right size, and kids' shower gel. The bed was super comfortable, and we all slept well. In the afternoons there was a jumping castle in the conference hall, a little playroom by reception, and a playground a two-minute walk downhill by the parking area. We had lunch and dinner at the restaurant. Everything tasted great, with an Asian touch and even Vietnamese pho noodle soup. The kids loved the homemade pasta. Service was excellent and everyone was so friendly. I don't understand complaints about the prices. Dishes averaged around 550kc, which you pay in Prague too. Breakfast was perfect, with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables, which our oldest boy loved. The products were organic and local, and you could taste it. We had an amazing weekend.

I've stayed here three times already, and it has been great every time. The food is delicious from breakfast through dinner, and the staff and service are just as good. The wellness area and pool are lovely for relaxing. It's also a great spot to work with colleagues and have informal meetings afterward. I'd happily come back for a fourth or fifth visit.
