The restaurant service was awful. I asked for a simple coffee and it could be delivered, while the staff were rude and the woman seemed unhappy. It was a very unpleasant experience, and her bad day ruined one of our days in the Czech Republic. We came on Sunday before heading back to the UK, and it left the region with a bad image.

We come back every year to refill our “cellars”. The wines are fantastic, especially Pálava, Agnis, Hibernal, and Müller-Thurgau, and the restaurant serves delicious food, which isn’t so common in Czechia. It’s a wonderful place among the vineyards, with lovely people. If you want a taste of Tuscany in the Czech Republic, this is it. The wine is the best, not just in Moravia.

The garden is lovely and the views are beautiful, making the place very nice overall. The restaurant didn’t impress us as much. The waiters don’t check in very often, and several times they brought us a bottle of juice without noticing we had no glass available because ours already had another drink in it. The meals look good and aren’t bad, but they’re missing some flavor.

Moravia gets compared to Tuscany, and this place makes the comparison easy to understand. The building is stunning, the view is beautiful, and with their great wine, it feels like heaven.

Here, even a “problem” seems not to exist. The service, catering, and lodging are all top quality, and they handle unexpected issues beyond what you’d expect. It’s simply a perfect destination when you need to get away from everyday problems.
