Hotel Lucia

The relaxation room upstairs was cold, with hard wooden seats, and some still had wet towels on them. There was calming music, but it didn't improve the atmosphere. At -4°C outside, about 18°C indoors didn't feel relaxing at all. We left after half an hour. The place presents itself as a wellness centre, which I found deeply misleading. The pool fits six people at most, in a room connected directly to the sauna and steam room. The sauna requires full nudity, so you have to walk naked in front of people in the pool. That felt inappropriate and uncomfortable, and the tiny sauna also seemed unhygienic. When I asked the receptionist what to do because the spa was full, she suggested taking turns. The room was shockingly small: one chair, a child-sized hanger in the wardrobe, and barely space to turn around. The bathroom smelled awful, like unflushed sewage, and the toilet was full of paper, as if it hadn't been properly checked or cleaned. From the moment we arrived, there was also a strong deep-fried food smell, more like a takeaway than a place meant to be calming. There was an extra charge on arrival that should have been included clearly in the advertised price. Massages were advertised on the website, but none were available. At best, this is a basic two-star hotel with a small spa that might work if you're the only guest and don't mind forced nudity in shared spaces. Calling it a wellness experience is grossly misleading, and what is actually offered should be stated clearly. I was forced to choose a description of the place, but none of the options applied. Extremely disappointing.
