It’s a peaceful chalet above the river Elbe, looking out toward a forested hill with a ski run and lifts. The clouds rolling by make the view even lovelier. Everything was immaculate, and the housekeeping, breakfast and service were very good. The manager was friendly and always ready to help. Such a quiet little paradise.

You get mountain views from this quiet spot, and the guesthouse is well placed for cycling and hiking in the Giant Mountains. The new building has fresh, pleasantly furnished rooms, plus shared rooms with a kitchenette, bike and ski storage, and parking. Staff are friendly and helpful. There are several restaurant options nearby in Vrchlabí or Strážné.

I keep coming back to Penzion Kozel, with both small and larger groups, and I’m always happy to return. It works really well for holidays in summer or winter. I’d recommend staying here in every respect.
