Hotel and restaurant Via Ironia

The location is great, with very good restaurants only a few minutes away. The hotel restaurant has been closed for good for several months. The rooms are comfortably furnished, and some have a pool and refrigerator, though not every room does.

The staff were very professional, and the atmosphere was pleasant. My room had a jacuzzi. Nearby and farther away, there are some exceptionally high-quality cultural and social events. In Vysoké Mýto, the local brewery and its restaurant are also worth mentioning. Check IN for the details.

I’ve been coming to this Vysoke Myto landmark for years, and this time I stayed in a room outside the main building, with its own entrance from the street. It was nice and quiet, maybe a bit too isolated for me. The entrance and stairs are on the ground floor, then upstairs you reach a spacious bedroom under a sloping roof. The ceiling is very high, with four skylights. There’s one in the bathroom too, so daylight and ventilation are great. The bathroom is fairly large, but too dim at night, since all the lights are by the entrance. I’d suggest adding a light near the toilet and a switch by the bed for the stairwell light, so you don’t have to go through the stairwell to turn everything off. Breakfast has gotten better and there’s more of it now, though plant-based milk would be a nice addition. The staff felt a bit detached.
