All good 😎
The buildings around the hotel gave me a bit of a shock when we first arrived. After that, though, things turned into a really pleasant surprise: the rooms are spacious and very nice, the staff are friendly, and the food is great, with generous portions at low prices. Nearby, the gold mining open-air museum and postal tunnel are both well worth seeing.
I hope Hotel Minerál stays open for a long time without any major breaks. Since it reopened, the service has been pleasant, the atmosphere nice, and the food tasty, with big portions at fair prices. Wishing you all plenty of guests who leave satisfied. Fingers crossed.
The food was decent, with portions that were far too big for us, but it took a long time to arrive. The stay itself was a letdown, and we won't come back. Our room's window couldn't be opened partway, it was either shut or wide open, with ventilation as the only other option. The bed was too short and the mattress springs hurt my back after the second night. Nobody came to empty the tiny 1-liter bin, so I had to do it myself. The toilet leaked and left a puddle around it. There wasn't a hotel reception to report these problems, so I'd have had to bother the waitress in the restaurant.
A good base for hiking in the lovely Jeseníky Mountains. The hotel, a former city almshouse, is on the edge of town beside the main road, but it was still quiet. Our room was small, with a bathroom and practical new furnishings. There was no mini fridge or cooking set, and the beds were daybeds without mattress protectors. The parking lot is large. Breakfast came with a choice, and the simple food was filling, with generous portions.
