Breakfast came with lots of homemade spreads and salad dressings, which some of my companions really raved about. We also found bars and an Indian restaurant just off the plaza next to the hotel, so there’s a bit to do in the evening. The place is especially handy for motorbike trips, since bikes can be parked safely in the courtyard. We arrived early at 3pm and the lovely woman at reception brought us beers. Rooms were clean and OK, and the interior is much newer than the outside suggests. It felt a bit odd being asked to lock the door to the room floor. Don’t forget your key if there’s a fire! Can definitely recommend.

The location is great, and the people are nice. The rooms are OK, but the shared space and dining room didn’t seem very clean and smelled stale. It felt more like a hostel than a hotel where you pay 140 euros a night.

I didn’t rent the room in the end. The receptionist was very unfriendly and didn’t speak any English. I only knew a few German words, so I said “Zimmer” and asked to see the room first. That seemed to make the receptionist very nervous. Once I saw it, I decided against staying: it was about 40C, with no curtains and no air-conditioning.

The showers weren’t inside the room, at least with the rate we booked. The rooms are plain and dated, but more or less clean and suitable for a night or two.

There’s private parking, and the place is motorbike-friendly. Everyone was very friendly. Can only recommend it.
