Art Hotel Aachen

The staff really stood out. When we had car trouble, they went out of their way to help us sort it out. That support meant a lot while travelling abroad. We had a lovely stay at the Art hotel, with a nice room, comfortable beds, a really nice bathroom, and a very nice breakfast. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

It’s a quiet neighborhood, and parking is right in front. The spot is on a steep hill, which was a bit challenging for us because our car has lower ground clearance than most. The place is clean and nice enough, though a little dated. It’s near the highway but still close enough to the old town.

Good value for the price, and the people are really nice. It’s a little old, but breakfast is very nice. The pool costs 3.5€ per person per day, or it’s 9€ per person per day for the pool and spa. The pool was a bit cold.

The staff were great and helpful, and some spoke good English. We had a pleasant stay, with good food and clean rooms that were a good size. The building, rooms, and car park can be accessed by wheelchair, though some areas may be limited. The hotel is worth a visit if you’re passing through, especially at a fair price. When I booked, the room was reasonably priced, and even with the 16 euro breakfast added, the total was still fair at about 62 euro. Breakfast was good, and the coffee pot on the table meant no getting up and down for refills. It’s a little pricey if it isn’t included in the room rate. There’s a pool and a restaurant, but the restaurant had limited hours when I visited. The pool is charged daily at approximately 3 euro per person, though you may be able to get a room deal. The hotel can be a little tricky to spot behind the car wash. It’s a good 10+ minute walk to the small town area, with more places to eat and drink, but worth it on a nice day. By car it’s only a couple of minutes, and there’s a petrol station nearby.
