After four stays at Landhaus am Stein, we're booked again for next year. We love the hotel that much. The towns around Lake Tagernsee are small, walkable, and very upscale. You can get around by foot, bike, or ferry, and there are lots of established hiking and biking trails in the beautiful mountains and by the lake. The water in Lake Tagernsee is crystal clear. The hotel itself is a small, well-run Bavarian style place for relaxing, with a classy spa. The decor, comfort, and upkeep are impeccable. The staff are professional, know the area well, and are super sweet. They really make you feel looked after. Breakfast is wonderful, with local products and homemade treats. It's in a quiet area, but still an easy walk to the lake and two ferry stops. In the mornings you hear roosters, and later you can have a cocktail with cowbells in the distance. The staff know all the fabulous restaurants nearby, and we've had some of the best food anywhere there.

They gave me a bus travel card, and the staff were friendly. I liked the facilities, and my room was clean and cozy.

The pool is open from 5am to 8pm. I had a warm welcome, a roomy, excellent room, a comfortable bed, and a pleasant balcony.
